BUYING UPDATES:
**Now Buying for Fall and Winter!
Yes, we are accepting Drop Offs any time the Store is open, space permitting. We occasionally talk Buying Breaks due to staff vacations, Holiday Weeks and full capacity. We announce these breaks on Facebook and Instagram and our website as we are able. On rare instances when we are full, our notice is last minute. We appreciate your understanding.
-La Costa Kids is currently buying Fall items and we Buy Ski and Snow Wear all year long!
-Seasonal Buying:
Summer Sleeveless ONLY accepted May 1st through August 15th.
Fall: Accepting Halloween Costumes ONLY August 15th through September 30th.
Christmas/Holiday: Accepting items ONLY November 1st through December 2nd (sparkly dresses/tops)
Easter, Valentine’s, 4th of July ect - accepted only one month prior to designated Holiday
Please NOT include the above items in your Drop Offs outside of these dates, THESE DATES ARE FIRM.

Thank you for considering La Costa Kids. We know you have many choices, and we are thrilled you want to work with us to sell your children’s apparel and gear. Our goal is to make this a 100% positive experience. To that end, some tips for success are below.
NO APPOINTMENTS NEEDED and No Immediate While-You-Wait appraisals, Drop off only.
How to Sell:
•You are welcome you to drop off your items in PAPER BAGS OR REUSABLE BAGS ONLY, with a max of 3-4 large bags per person per day. You will be notified upon completion of our review and have 48 hours after our phone call/text to return to retrieve any items and claim your Store Credit or Check. After 48 hours, your remaining items are subject to charitable donation and the funds applied to your account. Store Credit expires 1 year after entry into our System.
•Baby Gear including Strollers, High Chairs, Bouncy Seats, Strollers etc may also be dropped off, space permitting.
We always take a week long break from Buying during all major Holidays including, Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Year’s, & Easter.
PLEASE CALL THE STORE 760-944-9076 THE DAY YOU PLAN TO DROP OFF TO CONFIRM THAT WE HAVE STORAGE SPACE IN OUR BUYING CENTER. OCCASIONALLY WE ARE FULL OR TAKE A BRIEF BREAK FROM BUYING.
We recommend that you review our website or Facebook page for updates and changes to our buying hours.
Please, NO TRASH BAGS or oversized bins and large cardboard boxes, our buying space is limited. PLEASE SUBMIT ITEMS NEATLY FOLDED IN STURDY BAGS that accommodate our storage racks.

Drop Offs:
important Tips regarding selling with us:
From time to time, we may have to take a buying break when the store is full or a size is not needed, please refer to our Website or Facebook Page before coming in to sell.
• We are an Upscale Children's Resale Shop and are very specific with the Brands that we accept. Please refer to the list below.
•Please ensure that your clothing items are FRESHLY LAUNDERED, in GREAT CONDITION and are neatly FOLDED. NO TRASH BAGS, PLASTIC BAGS OR PLASTIC BINS.
-NO STAINS, FADING, or excessive WEAR or PILL.
•In order for us to offer the latest and greatest in styles and value pricing, clothing and accessories must be PURCHASED AS NEW, WITHIN THE LAST 2-3 YEARS, It is essential we stock current items, trends, and silhouettes. Many items have the manufacture date listed on the inner tags.
•If your clothes have been in storage/garage, it is best to consider laundering them before you bring them so that you receive top dollar. Musty odors and dirty/stained items will also disqualify your items.
• Wooden Toys and Gear must be CLEAN, have WORKING BATTERIES and all parts to be considered.

Baby equipment (released in the past two to three years) must have working batteries and fabric and straps must be stain free.

•Strollers (TIRES MUST BE FULLY INFLATED for bikes and strollers) and have manufacture date 2018 and newe,
•lightweight portable cribs (4Moms, Lotus ect) WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING PACK N PLAYS
*We ask that you include all pieces, and items should be in working condition with NEW BATTERIES.
What you get:
•Choose a check for what we keep or choose Store Credit to earn even more. We will always separate the items we wish to purchase from you and often explain why items are not selected for purchase. La Costa Kids is in the business of Children’s Resale, not consignment and therefore purchase your items outright, no waiting for your items to sell!
•You may opt to receive 40% the form of a Check or 50% in STORE CREDIT, based on our estimated selling price of the selected items.
•STORE CREDIT EXPIRES ONE YEAR FROM DATE OF SALE to us and can be used toward new or resale items. If you choose store credit initially, you are welcome to "cash out" at any time prior to the expiration date and 50% store credit rate will be converted to 40% cash rate.
unpurchased items:
During our buying process, there are often items that we choose not to purchase. Our customers have the choice of returning to pick up these items, or, if they wish, we will donate them to charity. WE ONLY ACCEPT DONATIONS AFTER OUR BUYING PROCESS FOR ITEMS THAT WERE SERIOUSLY SUBMITTED FOR OUR CONSIDERATION. ABSOLUTELY NO DONATIONS ACCEPTED IF YOU ARE JUST CLEANING CLOSETS. KINDLY SORT THROUGH BRANDS WE DON'T ACCEPT, STAINED ITEMS AND ANCIENT ITEMS, PLEASE BE MINDFUL THAT IN ORDER TO KEEP OUR PRICES COMPETETIVE, OUR STAFF CAN ONLY ASSESS ITEMS THAT ARE WITHIN OUR BUYING GUIELINES, For items submitted outside our buying descriptions, we will require that you SORT YOUR BAGS and bins before our consideration. We are currently donating leftover items to Birthline but our charity is subject to change.
